Baby Dedication

This weekend one of our grandsons is going to be dedicated at church. We are looking forward to it very much. It will be a great time to get together with family. We haven't seen all the grand kids together for quite some time. It will be fun. Family time is wonderful.

Dad

My dad was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. They put him through many tests over the past week and a half. They found that everything else was looking good. Yesterday he went through surgery for the removal of the cancer mass. It was a lengthy surgery, but the prognoses is great, Praise the Lord! They will test for lymph node involvement, but things are looking good. "By His stripes we are healed"! Thank you Lord! God is good all the time! He watches over those who serve and love Him.

Funerals

As I grow older I find that more people I know are passing away. I guess that comes with age somewhat. My aunts and uncles are all getting to be quite elderly. This past week my mom lost the last member of the generation above her. Her aunt Alice Mae passed away. Mom was actually the flower girl in her wedding many years ago. She said that it was an awesome funeral. It was a celebration of her life and where she is now, with Jesus. She loved the Lord and looked forward to being with Him one day. It is sure nice to be at peace about eternity. I hope all of you are as well.
