Christmas Lights

Our Christmas lights are up and we are enjoying them every night. We have more lights hung in the house than outside. My husband doesn't really like hanging the ones on the outside of the house. Last year they broke when we took them down because of the ice in the gutters. The outside lights are on a timer so we don't have to go out and turn them on each night.

Parade

We didn't get to the 4th of July parade this year. There were too many things going on at the time. We have always enjoyed parades. Hopefully next year we can take in the parade again. We did make it to a fireworks display and it was great. The grand kids really enjoyed it too. It was fun to watch the little ones react when the fireworks went off. It was loads of fun.

Home Again

We had our kids and grand kids at our house over Christmas. We had a blast with them all. They are now back at their own homes and back to work. The time went by so quickly. I guess that is what happens when you enjoy what you are doing. Hopefully this year Josh, Di and Emry will be back here in the state. We would be very happy to have them closer. Then all of the kids would be in the general area and we could see them more often.

Toys

Wow, the time is flying by. Christmas is around the corner and so much to get done. I am going to do some shopping today and more baking tomorrow. It has been special and fun this year with having small children to buy for. They are so much fun! I hadn't been down a toy aisle for quite sometime. toys have somewhat changed since my children were young. They are offering items I have never seen before. It has been an exciting time for us. Those grand babies are very special.
