Piano

Well, after all of these years we are finally getting rid of our piano. Years ago we told Jen that she could have it when she had a home to put it in. She really wanted it so now was the time. Bill thought he could just get some friends together and move it. Well it just so happens it's down in our basement. Not an easy move. So I talked him into hiring it done. Sure glad I did. It went fairly smoothly and now Jen can enjoy playing it again. I'll have to see if Jake remembers how to play.

Door

Went up to Scott and Jenna's. Bill helped Scott put in a new front door and glass outside door. Zoe will really like that. Her favorite spot in the house is sitting or laying by the front door, watching everything that is going on outside. She's going to love Jenna having that door. She vacations at Jen and Scott's from time to time. They really enjoy her company.

Typing

I can remember when I was in college. We had to pass a typing test just to go on with our program. At the time I wasn't very fast. It was very difficult for me to accomplish. Now typing is what I do all day long. I am a Scheduling Coordinator for a busy Dental Office. I enjoy my job and am glad I caught on to the typing. :)

Jake's

Went down to Jake's to visit. Haven't been down there for almost 3 months. Boy, where did the summer go? We hauled down a bed for his girlfriend, Renee. She is starting back to school. We took Jake to the movie, "Borne Ultimatum". It was really good. Then we went out to eat with him and Renee to the Lone Star. It was pretty good. I like Texas Roadhouse better I think. Bill wanted to bring his clubs along, but it was raining so I told him to leave them home. He should have brought them. It was pretty nice weather and Jake would have liked to golf some. Maybe next time.

Apple Tree

Boy, our apple tree is really full this year. Some years it's not so good, but this is definitely a good apple year. They are just starting to fall off of the tree some. We'll have to see if Jake can make it home soon to help get them down. Bill made a delicious pie with some of them. They are the best baking apples. Yum Yum

Diana

Diana had a baby shower down in Texas. We surprised her and had Josh go and pick up a gift for her to open, from us. He bought a pad that goes on the changing table. I guess her grandma bought them a really nice changing table. Then I sent her 3 of these really neat cloth diapers that she is planning to use. She is going to be a stay at home mom, so she's going to try the cloth diaper route. We did it years ago with our twins. Couldn't afford the disposable type at the time. Anyway, sounds like she had a very nice baby shower.

Golf

Well, there will be a big golf tournament this Sat. Bill is all excited about it. He is a golf nut. The Reed family (our son-in-laws family)are holding their annual golf tournament on Sat. Everyone pairs up and they have prizes for the best of this and that. Jenna and I will tool around in a golf cart and watch. Then they have a wonderful supper to follow. It's great fun and a good time for all.

WOW

WOW! What a weekend we have had. On Friday, Scott and his dad had moved most of their big furniture etc... to the new home. Sat. Bill and I went up and helped with some moving and unpacking. Spent a couple of day unpacking and setting up things. The guys were busy hooking up cable, phone, washer, dryer etc... Us women were hanging things and setting up house. It is really coming together. They are going to have such a nice home. Thought Jake was going to make it home to help, but he couldn't after all. We'll go down to visit him in a few weeks.

Moving Day

Well the time is here. We're going to head up and help Jenna and Scott with moving. Jen has been working hard at packing. Her and Scott have moved some of the smaller things already. They also had a Lamaze class besides all of this house stuff. They are a busy couple. I told Jen to take it easy. I'm not sure how many boxes we have hauled up there for them, but there are a lot of them. Hopefully enough.

Cake

Well, today is my mom's Birthday. I like to surprise her and make a cake if I have the time. This year I made my daughter, Jenna's, favorite. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate chips in it. Now all we need is the ice cream. Should be tasty....
