Painting

Bill talked to a friend this morning that is planning on painting her house. She lives on an acreage and is elderly. She will have someone else actually do the work. This lady said it is taking her a long time to decide on the color. Doing little things like painting can make such a difference in a home.

Easter

Through out my life I have known the Lord personally. I am so thankful and feel very blessed for parents that showed and taught me the true way. At Easter time we are reminded of how awesome God’s love is for each one of us. He sent His son Jesus to be the ultimate sacrifice for us all. In the movie "The Passion of the Christ" it is shown what Christ went through for you and me. How much He loves us and gave for us. He has lived, died and risen to set us free from the bondage's of sin and death. All we need to do is accept what He has done and give our lives to Him. I can not imagine life without Him. The peace and comfort He gives. There are no words to describe the magnitude of His love and grace. He is ALWAYS there for me. I never walk alone. No matter where I am, He is also. I came across this video on YouTube that I wanted to share. We should remember His sacrifice, love and grace each and everyday, not just at Easter time. He is the only way to the Father. Let Him be part of your life. It will be a life changing experience and you will spend eternity praising Him. I am so glad that Christ is my Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus.

Lasagna

Tonight I thought I would make lasagna. It was very good. It was a meal that we haven't had for quite awhile. We enjoy most foods with sauce and cheese. We have leftovers too which is great. Lasagna is a meal that is even better the next day because it thickens up. It will taste yummy tomorrow.

On 60 Minutes which aired on February 17,2008, they talked about the concerns of the drug Trasylol. They felt that there was a link with the use of the drug and side effects including kidney failure. Headache

I'm still fighting that migraine I have been having for the past three days. I took my meds before bedtime again last night and that does help my mornings to go easier. Now I am feeling it returning. I may take another pill. I hate doing that, but you have to do what you have to do, right?

The sun is out and shinning again today. It has been several day in a row now. That is unusual for us this winter. Maybe spring has sprung. Who knows. That sure would be nice. The temps have been awesome also! Can't beat it!

No Bake Cookies

No bake cookies are one of my favorites. Bill surprised me yesterday when he made me some cookies before he went to work. I had to call him when I got home to thank him. They were perfectly done. He has made them before when they didn't turn out so great. He made my day by making them.

Fresh Air

It was so nice seeing the sun shinning and feeling the warmth of the day. People's spirits seemed to be lifted. Isn't is something how a long winter can affect someone. there were smiles everywhere today. The temps rose into the 50's. It was hard to beat.

Migraine

I have been fighting a migraine again for the past couple of days. It's not much fun trying to work all day while feeling awful. I decided to take my meds before heading to bed last night and it did help me out for the morning. By late afternoon I needed to take some more. Now I am feeling very tired. May have to go relax soon.

What A Day

It is finally beginning to look like spring time. It is sunny and there is hardly any wind at all. What a day!! Grass can be seen in some yards and soon everything will be green again. I am quite partial to the warm weather. Zoe, our dog, enjoys being out in any weather but when it is warm and dry she can be outside longer. She needs to run off some of those unwanted dog pounds that she put on this winter.

New Streets

There is talk that our neighborhood will be getting new streets and an upgraded sewer system. I am sure the project will cost us some money but it will be worth it. The streets right now are in pretty tough shape. We have several potholes that you need to drive around. It will be nice to have the work done.

Time To Sit

It is Seven Thirty and I am ready to sit down for the night. It has been a long day. We were very busy at work as usual. Tonight we had supper and got some work done around the house but now it is time to relax. I enjoy curling up on the couch in the evening. Sometimes we watch a little television before bedtime.

American Idol

American Idol has been a little bit different this year. It seems that everyone is bickering with each other. The contestants are testy with the judges and the judges are fighting with one another. Simon and Ryan seem to have something brewing. I'm not sure what's up, but I feel it's gone a little bit over-board and I hope they back off so we can just enjoy the show.

Nap

Most days when we get home from work we find our dog, Zoe, either sleeping or just sitting around. I would like to know how many hours a day she sleeps. She would stay in bed in the morning but she follows us around the house while we get ready for work instead. We then get her on her bed as we leave the house. Zoe should be well rested because of the naps she gets during the day.

Work Week

Can you believe it? The work week is almost over. I have been working more days a week than usual because a gal at work recently had a baby and is off for awhile. I am ready for the weekend. I have an appointment to get my hair done on Saturday and I am looking forward to it. Scott, Jenna and Kaelyn are going to see Jake and Renee. I am sure they will have a great time.

Shoveling

I don't think this is the time of year we should have to shovel snow. It is supposed to be getting nice out with some warm rain in the forecast. Cookies

Tonight Bill wanted to bake cookies. I wasn't going to stop him because they sounded good. He usually makes chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. The past couple times he hasn't put in enough butter so this time he made them according to the recipe. Sometimes I think he just goes by what he thinks should be included in the cookies. They were much better this time.

Air Travel

Flying is not one of my favorite things to do. I enjoy vacations and prefer driving over flying. I know that it is nice to get to where you are going quickly but I like seeing the sites on the way. I am glad there are airlines to use if we need them but staying on the ground is what I prefer.

Dog Toy

Zoe got a new dog toy the other day. It is a little squeaky thing that she really likes. She likes it when we throw it in to the other room so she can chase it. She will bring it back just close enough so that you have to reach for it. She isn't a puppy any more but sometimes she acts like it.

Snowing Again

It is March and guess what?? We are getting some nasty weather including snow tonight. I am so ready for spring. Bill washed my car today because of all the salt and yuk on it. He will need to shovel later tonight I think. I don't think this weather is supposed to stick around long. Come on spring weather!!

Lunch

What is for lunch? That is a question that I asked Bill this morning. I think either meatballs or enchiladas would be good. He said he didn't care which meal we had. I don't mind making a meal but sometimes the decision of what to have is more difficult than the preparation of it. I love both meatballs and enchiladas so I am leaving the choice to Bill.
