New Internet

We recently switched back to our old internet provider. We have our telephone with them also. Unhappy is what we were when we changed a few months back to a cable internet package. Nothing but a pain! I am pleased with our current provider even though the internet speed isn't quite as fast as cable. I am glad they took us back.

Health Care

How many of you are tired of hearing about the health care issue? I know it is important but that is all we hear about these days. I agree that the health care system could be better but I don't want the government to run my health care. I guess I am not surprised that many other things are tied to the health care bill. Things that are not health care related don't belong in the bill. Why is this bill being pushed so quickly? I think we should take time to study the issues and find out what is best for us. I have heard that the president and congress have their own health care program so they would not be part of a new plan. If it is such a great plan, why are they not first in line to be part of it? I think a good leader is one that goes before the people and demonstrates that they are willing to do everything that they ask others to do.

XBox

With today's technology we find that there is no shortage of things for kids to play with. The XBox has always been a favorite in our house. My son's enjoy playing the latest games. They also interact with others on line. Now they are finding games for their dad to play also. It sure keeps them all busy.

Digital Camcorders

Years ago when our children were quite young, we took a vacation down to Florida. We had the best time and you couldn't wipe the smiles off of our children's faces. We wanted to capture the trip with a camcorder. Back then they were huge, heavy and expensive. Now with the handy digital camcorders you no longer have the hefty expense or the weight that they use to have. They are a wonderful piece of equipment to own.

Busy Busy

Where has the summer gone. We have had all but maybe two weekends filled and away from home. It's tough to get things done around the house when we are never here. This weekend we are hoping to re stain our deck. It is in need. It's been about 3 years since we last had it done.
Summer has been great and we have enjoyed all that we have done. I just wish that time could slow down a bit. Next weekend we will be helping our daughter and son-in-law paint their house. Then we would like to take a trip down to see our sons. Go-Go-Go.............

A New Look

About a year and a half ago, we decided to transform our home. For many years we had a country type of style. Now we are going to the modern contemporary style. Hum............ What's going on across the street? Do you ever have excitement in the neighborhood and you wonder what is going on? We presently have an ambulance and police car sitting outside. They have been there for quite sometime. Not really sure how serious it may be. I guess we may find out tomorrow.

Baby Announcements

A couple of years ago two of our children surprised us and told us they were expecting our first grand children. Well, now they are both expecting again! It is such an exciting time. The girls will be very busy. Soon they'll be shopping for those perfect baby announcements. There are such cute things out there.
