Vacation to New Zealand

It's about that time of year when I start thinking about vacation. After a long cold winter, I would love to just get away! One place that has always got me thinking is New Zealand. I've been a lot of places...but that's one I haven't been to and think would make for a fun and relaxing vacation spot. I think that places like Auckland, ChristChurch and Wellington would all be great places to visit for both leisure and entertainment.

As I do with any vacation I'm researching, I got online and started checking these places out. I happened to come across many Auckland hotels close to the centre as well as 5 star Christchurch hotels. I would have to say though...that if I were to go on vacation to a place like new Zealand, I would probably want to look into Wellington hotels in City. I think each person has their own personal preference as to the types of places they want to stay...and this would be my top choice.

Relaxing

I'm ready to relax. It's time to spend some time away from the craziness of life. A stroll through a beautiful landscape sounds intriging. It's time for a break. :)

Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's Day! I was able to talk with all of my kids and it was a beautiful day besides. My son Jake brought me some flowers which was really nice also. I feel very blessed. I have great kids!

Get In Shape

Lately I have been exercising on my elliptical machine. It is so nice to just go down to the basement and work out. Bill still goes to the YMCA, but he uses our machine too. It is so handy. I used to walk outside, but now I don't have to deal with the weather. I do not like going out when it is nasty. I need to really start a strict program however.

The love of clocks!

I am not sure why, but I have a thing for clocks. I have a different kind in every room of my home. Some rooms even have multiples. They are fascinating to me. Even though I am not in need of anymore clocks, I still find myself shopping for them. Isn't that weird? I really have to just STOP! But will I?

Dad

My dad was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. They put him through many tests over the past week and a half. They found that everything else was looking good. Yesterday he went through surgery for the removal of the cancer mass. It was a lengthy surgery, but the prognoses is great, Praise the Lord! They will test for lymph node involvement, but things are looking good. "By His stripes we are healed"! Thank you Lord! God is good all the time! He watches over those who serve and love Him.

John Deere

In helping set-up our son's condo, we found that he had quite a bit of John Deere gear and other items. We ended up setting up his den/spare room with some of the Deere stuff he has. I think he was pleased with the way it turned out. He and his kitty Mylie, are right at home now.

Kitchen/Dinning Area

This past weekend we helped move our son Jake into his first home. He purchased a condo and is very pleased with it. It was a lot of work, but well worth it! He has a spacious kitchen dinning area that is quite HGTV. He has done a great job in picking out colors. Things seem to come together well.
