Christmas Lights

Christmas lights have been hung in our neighborhood but most hadn't been turned on until recently.  We used to hang lights on our gutter but now just put them on the porch and railing.  Those on the gutter used to get blown around terribly.  I am glad not to have to attach them any more.  It is easier and faster to hang them on the porch too.  No ladder needed and that's a good thing.

Dog

Favorite Music

Most people we talk to will share opinions on their favorite music.  Some enjoy country, some classical and a wide variety of other music.  My favorite is contemporary Christian music.  Even 10-15 years ago there wasn't such a choice in Christian music as there is today.  I know there are many people that don't enjoy that type of music but some of those people may never have given it a chance.  If they haven't, they really should listen.

Hair Cut

Tonight our son in law cut my husband's hair.  He cuts it about every 2-3 weeks.  He does a great job even though he cuts it quite short.  I would prefer a longer hair style for him but I have gotten used to the short look.  My husband loves to have his hair short.  I guess as long as he likes it I will try to get used to it too.

Cutting The Grass

My husband mowed the grass recently.  He hadn't needed to for about a week due to the dry weather.  We have a push mower which gets used often but our son in law has a rider too.  My husband used a trailer to get the riding mower to our house.  I have to agree with my husband in that using the rider sure makes quick work of mowing our yard.  I don't blame him for preferring the rider over the push mower.

As we grow older we find that our bodies change and there are more challenges in life.  My elderly mother does fairly well, but at times it is more difficult for her to get around.  Stairs have definitely become a challenge.

The stair lift can be a great savings over a possible remodeling of ones home or even moving.  It could be of great relief to have the comfort of knowing mom would be safe in managing the stairs comfortably.  I think we may have to look into one.  

Not So Friendly

A couple of weeks ago we took our two oldest grandchildren to the zoo.  We had such a fun weekend! We stayed at our youngest son's home one of the nights.  Their cat Mylie is not the friendliest as you can see.  She can purr and hiss all at the same time.

My daughter has been working on redoing her new home.  She looked into a photo on canvas for her toy room.  They are awesome and can be purchased in a variety of sizes.  What a neat addition to that space.

New Gun

My husband has been looking to buy a new gun.  Back on Valentine's Day I gave him a card with a homemade coupon inside which indicated it was for a new pistol.  He was obviously excited about the search for his surprise.  Apparently guns are pretty tough to get right now.  At least the ones he wanted are hard to find.  Well, his new gun arrived yesterday.  He was more than thrilled.  Although he hasn't had a chance to try it out I know he is making plans to do just that.

We just got back from a wonderful time with family!  We stayed at this resort.  There were so many things to do and we had wonderful accomadations.  Our condo was beautiful and rustic.  There were 8 indoor and outdoor water parks, 5 restaurants, shops and many activities.  It's a great place for families!

Moving Snow
